DistroBolt versus Ditto: distribution, promotion and label needs
Compare DistroBolt and Ditto against the same catalogue, revenue categories and support needs. This review uses public primary sources checked on 4 November 2026, not a private offer or an account-level checkout test.
The confirmed DistroBolt baseline
Registered prices are EUR3.98 per single per year or EUR8.98 per EP/album per year on Essential. Premium is EUR9 monthly or EUR69 yearly and replaces annual Essential release fees during its active period. Standard artist revenue is 90%, DistroBolt 10%; creative services are separate. Account activation and current terms still apply.
What Ditto documents
Ditto describes unlimited distribution and retaining streaming income on its plans, with different artist allowances. Its pricing FAQ separately names a 15% commission for publishing and sync royalties available to relevant members. Do not apply that percentage to ordinary streaming or presume every add-on is included.
Who should compare which trade-offs
A multi-artist roster should compare the actual Ditto artist tier and collaborator access against DistroBolt’s confirmed offer. DistroBolt has free split-recipient accounts, but it also retains 10% under its standard distribution model. Personal support does not establish that a competitor lacks human support or that DistroBolt resolves every case faster.
Model the actual cost
For an illustrative EUR1,000 annual eligible DistroBolt royalty base, 10% is EUR100 before considering the selected plan and other applicable charges. Premium yearly plus that model commission is EUR169. This is not an earnings forecast. Do not add USD competitor fees to EUR amounts without a dated, explicit FX assumption. Check tax, withdrawal costs, renewals, cancellation and revenue-category terms separately.
