DISTROBOLT

DistroBolt versus TuneCore: costs, artist support and catalogue needs

Compare DistroBolt and TuneCore against the same catalogue, revenue categories and support needs. This review uses public primary sources checked on 4 November 2026, not a private offer or an account-level checkout test.

The confirmed DistroBolt baseline

Registered prices are EUR3.98 per single per year or EUR8.98 per EP/album per year on Essential. Premium is EUR9 monthly or EUR69 yearly and replaces annual Essential release fees during its active period. Standard artist revenue is 90%, DistroBolt 10%; creative services are separate. Account activation and current terms still apply.

What TuneCore documents

TuneCore lists annual Unlimited tiers: Rising Artist USD24.99, Breakout USD44.99 and Professional USD54.99 in the reviewed pricing page. Its support also describes a pay-per-release route. Artist allowances, regional checkout, renewal and optional monetisation need the selected plan’s terms.

Who should compare which trade-offs

A musician wanting a broad self-service workflow should compare the actual included artist slots and release tools. DistroBolt offers a smaller-team support proposition, but its standard 10% royalty share can cost more as eligible earnings rise. A faster support outcome was not benchmarked.

Model the actual cost

For an illustrative EUR1,000 annual eligible DistroBolt royalty base, 10% is EUR100 before considering the selected plan and other applicable charges. Premium yearly plus that model commission is EUR169. This is not an earnings forecast. Do not add USD competitor fees to EUR amounts without a dated, explicit FX assumption. Check tax, withdrawal costs, renewals, cancellation and revenue-category terms separately.
