Set realistic release-support response times

Set support expectations from actual responsibilities and capacity, not an invented response-time promise. Separate acknowledgement, investigation, provider escalation and resolution for each release case.

Define what the team can control

Name the account owner, support route and information needed to investigate. A distributor can investigate its delivery without controlling every store’s processing. Keep a claimed application-review target separate from general support availability.

Classify impact factually

A wrong artist association, suspected unauthorised access and a minor display issue need different handling. Record affected releases, dates and consequences. Avoid calling every request an emergency or assuming that an urgent label creates a service guarantee.

Agree the communication process

Specify who owns the case and how confirmed updates will be provided. Ask the actual provider about working hours and supported escalation rather than promising round-the-clock service. Keep any written service commitment and its exceptions.

Verify closure

A response is not necessarily a correction. Check the actual destination outcome and retain the case reference. This guide creates no SLA, sends no messages and changes no production support configuration.
