Appeal an AI flag on a human recording
If you believe a human recording or artist identity was incorrectly flagged as AI, preserve the notice and prepare a factual evidence package. First identify what was labelled: the recording, an individual contribution or the artist persona.
Record the actual decision
Keep the platform, case reference, affected links, exact wording and any stated response deadline. A Spotify persona badge concerns identity, while another platform may label a recording. Do not send the same generic appeal without identifying the decision and its supported review route.
Gather production evidence
Collect relevant project versions, original takes, stems, contributor notes and approved masters. Explain how each item relates to the delivered recording. Share only necessary material through a verified private process; do not publish full sessions or another performer’s private files. Do not alter dates or fabricate a production history.
Describe all actual AI use
A human performance may still involve assisted processing. State what happened accurately rather than using a blanket denial that conflicts with the project record. Do not treat a detector score or an isolated screenshot as conclusive proof of the entire creation process. Ask for the appropriate review with the supporting evidence.
Follow the specific appeal process
Spotify documents an appeal route for its Likely AI Persona badge, and TIDAL publishes its own AI policy and review information. Check the current process for the actual notice.
