DISTROBOLT ARTIST GUIDES

Credit multiple featured artists without changing the primary artist

Credit each featured collaborator in the appropriate artist-role record while preserving the agreed primary artist. Display order, role and profile identity need to be checked together; adding text to a title does not resolve them.

Agree a track-level artist map

List the primary artist, each featured artist and the intended order for every recording. Record approved names and confirmed profile links where available. A collaborator appearing on one track should not automatically become a primary artist across the whole album. Check release-level roles separately from track-level roles.

Use separate contributor entries

For a track led by Artist A with guests B and C, prepare distinct artist records rather than entering “B & C” as a single new artist identity. Spotify’s metadata guidance calls for separate artist fields and appropriate roles. Confirm how the actual DistroBolt workflow represents multiple collaborators before submission.

Review the destination formatting

Some destinations generate featuring text from submitted roles. Do not repeat guest names in the title merely to force a display. Ask about supported formatting and check the submission summary. A credit role does not by itself establish a royalty share; retain the accepted split agreement in its own record.

Verify the profiles after delivery

Open the intended release and inspect the credited artists and destination profiles. If a guest links to the wrong person, send the affected recording and correct profile reference to DistroBolt. Do not change the primary artist or spelling as a shortcut to solving an incorrect mapping. Preserve the approved credit order and support outcome.
