Spotify Clips after the upload closure: check current video options

Spotify’s current help says new Clips uploads ended on 17 June 2026. Treat older Clips tutorials as historical and check the current Spotify for Artists video workflow before planning or buying a new video deliverable.

Separate existing Clips from new uploads

Spotify states that previously uploaded Clips remain live and can appear in its gradually introduced Video tab. That does not mean the former upload tool is still available. Record which assets already exist on the artist profile and check their actual presentation before assuming a removal or replacement is needed.

Inspect the current account tools

Use Spotify’s current artist help to identify supported video formats and access requirements. Check the actual artist team and release context rather than promising a feature from an old screenshot. A full-length music video and a countdown video have different purposes; do not assume an old Clips specification applies to either.

Brief production against an available destination

Before ordering work, write the intended placement, confirmed format, rights, approval owner and campaign goal. Obtain the supported delivery requirements first. If access is unavailable, choose another suitable destination or pause the order. Do not sell a package as including a new Spotify Clip upload under the retired workflow.

Preserve useful campaign records

Keep the source video, approvals and actual publication references. Compare available analytics in context without promising that a short video guarantees streams or saves. Update old website instructions and service briefs that still describe new Clips uploads. This guide documents the change; it does not announce replacement-video support through DistroBolt.
