Spotify Countdown Pages: check eligibility before a campaign
Check the artist, release and current Spotify account eligibility before building a Countdown Page campaign. A scheduled release or a pre-save marketing plan does not automatically make every artist or product eligible.
Check the live eligibility guidance
Open Spotify’s current Countdown Page requirements and compare them with the actual artist account and upcoming release. Keep the date of that check in the campaign brief. Do not recycle an audience threshold from an old tutorial or infer eligibility from another artist’s account. The available account tools are part of the verification.
Review collaboration and rights structure
Spotify says that for releases with multiple main artists, only the first-named main artist can create the Countdown Page, and support for split-rights releases is limited. This is not the same as a recording-income split between collaborators. Do not change agreed artist order or payment percentages simply to pursue a promotional feature.
Prepare the eligible campaign
Confirm the intended product, track list, approved visual material and public message. Spotify describes pre-saving and release-day library addition through Countdown Pages. Keep any merchandise, video and campaign links aligned with the correct product. Do not assume DistroBolt automatically creates or edits the page just because it distributes the audio.
Keep a fallback and check the result
If the feature is unavailable, choose another supported way to communicate the release without claiming native Spotify pre-saving. Test the actual page and final product link before announcing it. Record pre-save activity separately from streams or purchases, and review current conditions again if the date or product changes.
