DISTROBOLT ARTIST GUIDES
TikTok Artist Account and Music Tab: prepare your application
A TikTok Artist Account and its Music Tab organise an artist’s presence; they are not the same as distributing a recording into TikTok’s music catalogue. Prepare the right profile and catalogue evidence before applying.
Identify the account and catalogue
Keep the intended TikTok profile URL, approved artist identity and verified official sound links together. Distinguish your existing user profile from any other account using the same artist name. Confirm the music’s delivery status with DistroBolt before treating an absent tab as a failed distribution.
Follow the current official application
TikTok’s Music Tab guidance says an Artist Account application is needed first. Check the current official help and in-account process for your region and profile. Do not rely on an old numerical song threshold or an assumed approval deadline. Keep the submitted details and any case reference without saving verification codes or passwords.
Inspect the Music Tab association
After access is granted, review which recordings appear and whether the artist identity is correct. Save links to missing or incorrectly associated official sounds. The tab, an Artist Account badge and access to other artist tools are distinct observations; do not infer that every feature is enabled because one is visible.
Keep permission and commercial use separate
An Artist Account does not grant unlimited rights to use any song in a brand promotion. Review TikTok’s commercial-music guidance for the actual content. Ask the current platform support route about tab corrections and DistroBolt about delivery records. This guide does not claim DistroBolt can submit or approve an application automatically.
