Music missing on Instagram: account and catalogue checks

A missing Instagram song can reflect the catalogue, the intended territory, the account or the type of content being created. Diagnose the actual situation before concluding that the distributor failed to deliver it.

Capture the context

Record the release reference, recording identifier, account type, feature used and observed message. Note whether the problem occurs in a Reel, Story or another context, and whether the recording is absent or simply unavailable for selection. Keep a relevant screenshot with private information removed.

Confirm catalogue delivery

Ask DistroBolt whether the recording was sent to the requested Meta destination and whether any rights or eligibility issue was reported. Keep the delivery reference. A correct Spotify link is not evidence of Instagram delivery, while a user-uploaded original audio entry is not necessarily the official catalogue recording.

Review the current library conditions

Meta’s licensed-music access help is the relevant official source, but it required login during this review. Confirm the current account, territory and permitted-use conditions before using a recording commercially. Do not describe a change of account category or copied audio as a legitimate shortcut around licensing restrictions.

Request the appropriate correction

If delivery is missing, give DistroBolt a precise catalogue case. If delivery is confirmed, investigate the actual account and feature limitation through Meta’s supported help. Keep artist ownership and commercial permission separate: owning a master does not by itself settle every other relevant right. Verify the intended use after clarification; this guide does not promise automatic access for every account.
