DISTROBOLT ARTIST GUIDES

Prepare a music advertising brief before spending money

Before spending on music advertising, write a brief that defines the goal, approved creative, audience hypothesis, destination and cost limit. A clear brief supports a decision; it does not authorise a campaign or guarantee listeners.

State one objective

Choose an observable action and review period, with the data source and baseline. Keep landing-page visits separate from streams, purchases and returning listeners. Use realistic internal targets and mark them as targets, not expected results presented as facts.

Specify the actual materials

List approved video or image exports, exact audio version, caption, rights evidence and destination link. Record the intended placement and any commercial-use conditions. A creative service order is not automatically permission to publish an ad or charge a payment method.

Define budget and control

Write the currency, total cap, planned dates, approval owner and stop/review conditions. Keep media spend separate from production and management fees. If tracking is proposed, document the actual events, privacy requirements and account permissions before activation. Do not insert a pixel merely because it appears in a template.

Review before any launch

Confirm the account, final creative, working destination and actual costs against the brief. Keep unresolved assumptions visible and obtain the relevant authority for spending. This guide does not recommend a paid platform, create an ad account, place an order or promise a cost per fan. Campaign setup and execution need their own verified workflow.
