DISTROBOLT ARTIST GUIDES
Add or correct lyrics on Spotify: verify the current route
Use Spotify’s current lyric guidance to find the supported provider route for additions and corrections. A lyric entry in a distribution form is not proof that Spotify has received or displayed it.
Verify the correct recording
Keep the Spotify song link, ISRC, version, approved lyric sheet and relevant artist identity. Confirm that the error belongs to the intended recording rather than a live, clean or alternate version. A search result with a matching title may point to another artist.
Follow the current Musixmatch route
Spotify identifies Musixmatch as its lyric provider and describes artist verification and lyric management through that service. Use the current official instructions and the authorised artist account. Do not share passwords or assume that verification through another distributor is part of your DistroBolt plan.
Submit a precise correction
Compare the words with the actual master, retain required formatting and identify the exact error. If timing is wrong, keep that separate from the text correction. Record the submitted version and any case reference. Avoid several people submitting conflicting lyric variants without an agreed source.
Check the public result
Inspect the intended song after the relevant review, distinguishing plain text and synced display. Provider access and destination display can have separate conditions. Ask DistroBolt about its actual support scope without buying unnecessary help. No paid API, guaranteed publication time or automatic Spotify lyric integration is promised here.
