DISTROBOLT ARTIST GUIDES
Give cover-art feedback that leads to a clear revision
Clear cover-art feedback identifies the exact design, intended change and approval owner. Keep one consolidated revision request instead of sending contradictory instructions across several conversations.
Name the reviewed version
Record the design file or export, revision number and date. Compare it with the approved release title, artist identity and project brief. Keep preferences separate from factual errors such as an incorrect name or an uncleared image.
Describe the desired outcome
Use specific observations such as “The title is hard to read at thumbnail size” rather than only “Make it more professional.” Refer to the relevant area and intended placement. Do not demand a redesign while describing it as a minor text correction.
Check the agreed scope
Review the actual order’s deliverables, revision allowance and approval process. New artwork, extra formats or a changed brief may need separate agreement. Do not treat this checklist as permission for unlimited revisions or new charges.
Approve the final export
Have the authorised artist confirm the exact replacement and check text, licence evidence and technical requirements. Preserve the old and new versions and mark what is approved for delivery. This guide does not place an order, revise a design or certify the rights in supplied material.
